i cant please everyone but i tried if can

i cant live to please anyone not even my man

i cant live to please my mother its so very hard

she says my future is so close but it seems so far

i cant live to please society because nothing is right

i cant live to please  my father he left without a fight

i can only live to please me thats my only job

and every now and so often it gets fairly hard

so who do i please if i cant please myself

maybe its time to give up put my heart on the shelf
